Dr. Jessica Leung, was recently interviewed by ABC Channel 7 News in San Francisco on the announcement
made by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force on mammography screening of women under the age of 50.
"We found small curable cancers in women between the ages of 40 to 49," said Dr. Jessica Leung, medical director at California Pacific's
Breast Health Center, where 150 women a day get screened for breast cancer.
In fact Dr. Leung says a quarter of the cancers found at the center are found in women under 50.
In order to compile data that would identify and categorize screening detected minimal cancers in their patient
population, and help illustrate the value of screening mammography for women under 50, CPMC was able to use a
combination of built in and customized MagView reports to retrieve the required data within a matter of a few minutes.
